| Income tax | Withheld by the employer from each salary under the Income Tax Act 2023, for NBR. The tax year runs July to June, and the first Tk 400,000 is tax-free |
| Provident fund | Required when an employer with 100 or more permanent workers is asked by two-thirds of them; 7–8% of basic from each side |
| Notice | From the employer: 120 days for monthly-paid permanent workers, 60 days for others. Resigning: 60 days for permanent workers |
| End of service | When the employer ends a permanent job: 30 days' wages for each year of service, or gratuity if that's higher |
